It’s never good when your data center catches on fire. It’s probably worse when parts of the building start falling off as a result. That’s exactly what happened on Sunday at a Samsung data center in Gwacheon, South Korea. Interestingly enough, the resulting data outage affected Samsung devices on a global scale, including smart TVs, phones, Blu-ray players, the Samsung “Apps Mobile” store and tablets; in essence, anything that utilizes Samsung servers to operate. When you’re a global communications and electronics company, you probably want to be prepared for the worst, right?
