2 minute read3 Ways to Recoup Costs in 2014
By Brian Meyers
It is the time of the year that all IT guys love. New year, new budgets are overflowing and all that money needs to be spent. How can you maximize your yearly budget?
Here are 3 ways to make your yearly budget go further.
1. Go for last year’s gear.
For most people brand new is too new. Maximize the bang for your buck by supplementing your blazing fast dream disks with top-brand storage for pennies on the dollar. We buy the leading storage manufacturers’ used — and hardly used — gear, fully test it and sell it at a fraction of the cost.
2. Dump some of your truly outdated or unused gear to increase performance in other areas.
Nobody needs 5 racks of 73gb drives anymore. Trade in your gear for faster smaller options. Sleep easier at night knowing not only is your job safe, but also all the electricity you are saving is great for your company’s bottom line (as well as the environment).
Buying that new system you just couldn’t live without? Keep your old system for testing or Disaster Recovery. I don’t know your specific needs, but I do know that we can support that old, but still useful system, as well as spruce it up a bit.
Did you know that Reliant Technology buys back used hardware? We also provide third-party support to extend the life of your current hardware. Contact us to see how we can help you save money in your storage infrastructure.
