What is Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI)?
In traditional infrastructure configurations the server, network, storage arrays, and computing management systems are all separate devices. A converged infrastructure combines two or more of these systems into a single unit.
The latest Hyper Converged Infrastructure is a single unified system that combines ALL of these components into a single infrastructure. By abstracting, virtualizing and pooling mass resources underneath all the elements of the infrastructure and dynamically allocating those resources based on automated policies set by the administrators, you can be sure you're getting the best use of your hardware. This eliminates the need for complicated constructs and configurations. Managing everything from a single tool means lower OPEX and CAPEX for your IT infrastructure while remaining secure, flexible and scalable.
Hyper Convergence is ideal for mission critical applications that need to respond fast, such as core apps, edge computing, cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
Why Seek Third Party Maintenance on a Hyperconverged system?
Setting up your HCI initially took months of planning, weeks of deployment and days of optimization. As this array comes to the end of its life you risk beginning this process again as you migrate your data to new hardware, creating risk for the safety of your data, and the operation of your business.
OEM maintenance or warranty support on new enterprise data center equipment is ideal, but as that equipment ages or reaches end of life all they want from you is an upgrade. The OEM manufacturer wants to add opportunities for their sales teams to sell you on an expensive new system. This opportunity arises when your maintenance contract runs out, typically every 3 to 5 years. This annoying process is a necessary touchpoint for OEMs to drive more sales for their ever changing flow of new equipment manufactured by the OEM. We know there's a better way.
With third party maintenance, you extend the life of your hardware.
Whether you migrate more slowly (and safely) to a new array, or you simply maintain and secure your current one to keep using it longer - it removes the cost and hassle of having to up-end your data center every few years, while still remaining scalable.
With secure SLAs, on-site spares, extended warranties, and post-warranty support tailored to suit your business needs, there's no need to waste money upgrading equipment that still works effectively.

For hardware maintenance, you get the same basic level of support for a fraction of the cost and can actually get equipment under maintenance that 'the vendor' will no longer cover. The process is simple and Reliant is very easy to work with.Siemens
I have used many different Tech Support companies in my 24 years in the IT field, but Reliant Technology beats them all, hands down! ...they were familiar with our particular EMC model and they knew exactly what they were doing! They always solve the issue in one phone call, without fail.Photronics, Inc
We have found Reliant Technology a great resource for aftermarket storage assets. Their selection is broad, their delivery is fast and their prices are fair. Every transaction is a smooth one!EarthLink
Moving to Reliant Technology for third-party support has allowed us to reduce operational costs for IT equipment. The range of support levels they offer allowed us to match the support with our needs and budget. Response times have always met or exceeded expectations.EPIC Imaging
It has been a pleasant surprise to have received better and quicker support from Reliant Technology’s engineers than what we used to get from the OEM.Seaboard Corp
A few years back, I took out an extended warranty for a critical E-Repository file server. A few weeks back, our office building suffered a major power outage in the middle of the night. Knowing that this server was vital to our company’s production I opened a case with Reliant. Within hours, a representative from their local support team got in touch. Together with Reliant, we were able to fix the problem with no out of pocket costs and no loss in production. Reliant really came through for us, I highly recommend.Cunningham Group
Reliant did an excellent job for us. In fact we would have saved a whole weekend, if we had contacted them earlier. We moved the NetApp filer, and proceeded to lose 24 hours trying it to boot. Unfortunately, we didn't think of Reliant until late the next day. Within hours they had reconfigured the replacement controller, confirmed shipping arrangements, had the replacement controller on its way directly to us and arranged for a field engineer to install it. We couldn't have been happier! And sleeping more comfortably knowing that we have Reliant Technology as a partner.Maryland Department of Health
